Stories of Our Lives

To create this collection of stunning shorts, the film-makers behind Stories of Our Lives interviewed over 300 queer Kenyans and picked just five of their stories. While each portrait is understated and quiet, they all carry the same powerful undercurrent.

Since its release and success at the Toronto International Film Festival, this masterful and touching window into queer lives in Kenya has put its film-makers in danger, but if the film says anything, it’s that vulnerability is a position of strength.
